La Eterna Primavera

Hola Familia,

Mom
Hey Mom! I absolutely loved the package and especially the pictures that was kind of you! Please tell everyone so much for all they sent to me! It was so fun to see all the pictures! Thank you so much for the money as well! I'm going to love making more cookies! Mom I'm so proud to hear about your new personal study habbits! You're so strong! I promise I've tried so hard to get Elder Bradshaw to walk in the morning it isn't working😂. I studied about love this morning! You're so wise mom! What I've learned from this is I'm very sensitive and It's hard to deal with a lot of negative! However, I still am doing great with having a postive attitude and eventually it's going to catch fire of my good friend Elder Bradshaw. I can already tell he's starting to get it!

Dad
Thank you so much for sending the phone Dad. I appreciate it so much I promise I'm learning how to use technology it such a better way! I'm so excited to learn to have great habits! It's amazing how well the missionary department has this ready and prepared. The work is going to move to a new level!

Stockton
I'm sorry about your migraine this morning Stockton! I saw that pic of you throwing the javelyn! looking good Stockton! How is the CNA class going? Stockton I have to tell you a funny story. Yesterdady we met a Jehovah Wittness while we were tracting. I'm telling you Stockton. Meeting and talking to white people helps me enjoy hispanics so much more. I told her that Mom always invited me to read the Book of Mormon(you should be doing that:) ) because it helps me trust in Jesus Christ. She wasn't very kind and after to trying to convince us that we were wrong and me reciting one of the scriptures in the book of Mormon she got frustrated, said she was wasting time and shut the door. I just turned away and smiled and said," I'll get you when we're dead." Some people get pretty scared of us sometimes and I think it's pretty funny.
I love you stockton! Please tell me how you are friend! I hope you have a great week!

Madsen
Hey Madsen! I hear you're doing well with your scripture study! Good work! I hope your games are going well! I taught a boy your age this last week. Sometimes I ask too many questions and it turned into a interogation about his beliefs(big mess up #😩) I love you Madsen! keep accomplishing you work Madsen God has an amazing path for you! You're doing great!

Emma
I'm sorry you can't play during PE. I hope you get feeling better! I can't play too much sports either but we'll get better together ok sweety!

Maleck
Hey Mal! Sorry about the staples! You're a really tough guy! I'm teaching a little boy named Pabel and we gave him a picture book of the Book of Mormon. It reminded me a lot about you! I have so fun teaching boys your age about Jesus Christ! I try joking with them to loosen them up when they are a little nervous.

Grandpa and Grandma Weaver
Hello! How's the temple work going? Thank you so much for your email! Don't worry bud I'll keep working!

Grandpa Rigby
Grandpa I printed out all your email and the story I'm going to read it today. we were out in to the boonies the other day and we got into the home of  7TH Day adventist and I had the beautiful opportunity of testifying of the Book of Mormon. I am going to love strengthening my faith with this story. Love you Granpa! Give grandma a hug for me!

Dear President,
Thank you so much for the great zone conference last week! I'm very excited to improve my teaching and prepare myself to use technology in a way that spreads the amazing message of Jesus Christ! This week I have loved continuing to deeply study preach my Gospel and begin my study in John. One of the many things my Father in Heaven taught me this week and something we discussed in interviews is the importance of building people. One of the greatest miracles Jesus did while he was on the Earth is he changed 12 normal men into Apostles. I am very pleased to say that though Elder Bradshaw and I still have a ways to go he is becoming more confident in teaching and finding situations!  It makes me so happy to see that he is gaining confidence. Our transitions our getting better and I can see he is on his way to conqueror his fear of talking to others. I have to say sometimes I do get really excited sharing our message and I need to give him more opportunities to grow! This last week during P-day we played some basketball and bought some milkshakes. Since this point we've slowly:) started to become better friends. Basketball is the way to his heart! I'm happy to report as well that his appointment with the counselor seem to have gone really well. Thank you for your advice of loving him in his own way! A testament to what you said is that during the week I wrote him a few sentence long note of appreciation and he picked it up and threw it away:) I definitely need to find his way to receive love because my ways don't work the best!:)

Area

Juan Gonsalez(16)
Juan loves playing soccer and recently he strained his hamstring. The interesting thing is that I did the same thing when I was his age. It's special how God prepares you to help those he needs you to help. He is currently reading the Book of Mormon and has recognized that it brings him a lot of peace!

We have several less active families in our area and we've been doing our best to help them come/keep coming to church as well as strengthening their faith!

Soto Family
The Soto family is going through some marital issues right now. hermano Soto is in California working. When Hermano Soto is out of the house it brings a lot of stress to Hma. Soto feels alone and overwhelmed with her 4 kids. We are trying to help her and her kids to do simple things such as prayer. Tonight we are having family home and I made some of my no bake cookies...the devil doesn't stand a chance

Sumano Family
Hma. Sumano is a single mother and she is trying her best to help her two young kids pabel(10) and valaria(6) to believe in God. I absolutely love working with her because even though she has her financial struggles she has tremendous trust in her father in heaven. We have set up a schedule to teach her son Pabel the rest of the recent convert lessons

La familia Juarez
The Juarez family is sooo close to come to church. I love seeing them every thursday in the Book of Mormon class. I think that is probably the happiest time of the week for me. President Moreno is planning on giving him an assignment to pass the sacrament so Hmo. Juarez begins coming to church! I really want to help their older teenage boys as well! So many good things are going to happen with this family we just have to stay consistent!

Scripture memorization
God has tried to tell me to memorize more scriptures. When you gave us the challenge of memorizing 42 for every principle his voice again spoke to me. The great news is that I feel that this is my strength! I am very pleased to report I have 30 memorized scriptures at this point and in the course of trying to memorize 42 for the 42 principle I memorized 4 this last week. I've come to recognize that God has given all of us gifts. This is mine:)

Finding efforts
This week I have tried to simplify my teaching!(sometimes I talk to much)This week during our finding efforts I have been able to adjust what I say so it becomes more personal and meaningful for them and for myself. Elder Bradshaw gets to know the people and usually brings up the fact that we, as missionaries of Jesus Christ, share how the teachings of Jesus Christ can help our families. I then transfer that to how my mom has always invited me to read the words of Jesus Christ found in this book(The Book of Mormon) one of the things that it has taught me is how I can become better to help those I love/ are in my family. We relate to their families, get to know them etc....
Though we only found one new investigator this last week, I have loved being more honest and sincere with the people by making the connection to my family and then theirs!

District

This last week I had an exchange with Elder Beaumont. We had a fantastic time together. I love his kindness and his love for his investigators. He gets a little nervous meeting people and I'm going to invite him to continue to work on it! He voiced how he feels that the best days of his mission have come and gone and does not believe fully that there are people waiting for him. I tried to asure him that there are but it's going to take a little more than a little talk to help him change. I loved walking in his walking area. I can see now why I have a car...I need to learn to submit to his will:)

Love,
Elder Rigby
