Hey everyone! I hope all is well with you and you are having a great day!

Today my heart is joyed with the opportunity to serve a mission it is a gift for me! Everyday I wake up and by the time I go to bed I'm a little bit better. The successes and the failures throughout the day of following my savior and stumbling as I give way to the natural man teach me who I should not be and who I must be to help those who are sad. This who process is helping me come to know Jesus Christ. I'm very imperfect but I'm making progress thanks to him.

I've been studying and pondering on the words of Elder Bednar's talk "if ye had known me"
The phrases “Ye never knew me” and “Ye know me not” should be a cause of deep spiritual introspection for each of us. Do we only know about the Savior, or are we increasingly coming to know Him? How do we come to know the Lord?
I still need to learn so much more but I know as we give the best we have to follow Christ we will come to know him. This is a lifetime process but I pray that all of us will make the choice to know him so we can truly understand that he loves us and he can help us be truly happy if we just listen to what he saids.

Elder Nunez gave me the chair he picked up when we were helping a member move- a true act of Christlike Love
Elder Nunez has such a pure love for the people he serves them-specifically the members-with everything he has. He is teaching me how to interact with less actives... in Spanish! It is amazing how every companion I've had is bettering different parts of who I am and helping me become more Christlike. What a blessing this isHey everyone! I hope all is well with you and you are having a great day!

In the area this week we saw some tremendous blessings.
We were able to meet a women in her early 30's named Flor. Flor was in a car accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down. We came to her house yesterday and she humbly asked her to pray for her. I hope we can help her. Her heart seems open and we will stop later this week when her husband is home.
I've been struggling a little bit learning how to turn inviting someone to: watch the video of the Christmas initiative/ come to the community nativity/branch breakfast christmas party- to helping them understand that we are messengers from Jesus Christ who share the message of the restored Gospel that brings peace and incredible joy who would like to come back and again to speak with them, get to know them, and share more of our message! Therefore, my goal this week besides trying to relax a little bit is to TESTIFY(teach when you find) Elder Nunez is great at this and I know if I have Faith God will help me-he always helps:)
The most speacial part of this week is when we were able to go by a man named Eric. I had met Eric before and came to know that he was a member but now is respectfully against the Church and does believe in a god just not that much. However, in our previous meeting we were able to become friends.  When we stopped by this week(4 weeks after our previous meeting on his porch) we found that his wife had died 3 days previous.
It's moments like these that force me to understand that I am here for a reason.
After a little bit of conversation of him telling about the 17 day decline of his wife to passing and the kind words of Elder Nunez comforting him that we know families are forever, I was able to to share my words.
I asked him, "do you believe in Christ."
he replied quietly that he wants to and it's just hard.
-Thanks to my Father in Heaven he has given me an opportunity to do his work I am not worthy but through his infinite love and his son's sacrifice I was able speak with the spirit-
I said something like this...
Eric I can't imagine. She was everything to you and I bet you had wishes and dreams to grow old together to take nice vacations to the coast maybe even to Hawaii but now you can't and how can you beleive when the most precious person in your life was taken from you. I'm truly sorry.
Eric I can't even begin to know what you are feeling, but I do know how it feels to be in darkness with no hope. Eric I know you want to believe and I know your wife is wanting you to believe too. You can believe if you really want it and it's going to take some work but I promis you if you get on your knees and pray with all you have to God you will one day Believe. We know that your wife live because as Jesus said I am the ressurection and the light he that believeth in me though he were dead yet shall ye live and he that liveth and believeth in me shall never die.
