Hola Amigos, Maleck I'm so glad you are getting deep into your Book of Mormon reading! I hope your mountain bike ride went great! I would love to see a picture of your train track! Yes Maleck I would love a bike! Sorry about the whole sled sitiuation. This will pass. No he is not a ramirrez thank heavens:) Good luck pal! Grandpa Thank you for your prayers Grandpa. The mission is absolutely incredible. I know God is sending Angels before us to prepare the hearts of the Children of men and this has much to do with all the prayers that are coming from home thank you. As of late my mind has been drawn to deep introspection regarding the truthfullness of the Book of Mormon. knowing that my life, becuase I'm a missionary, is either being used by the almighty or wasted, based upon the truthfullness of the Book of Mormon. I began thinking about what Jesus Christ has done to our Family and my life through the Book of Mormon. I've come to know that, just as President Monson

Happy Birthday Emma

Hola Familia! We saw some fantastic miracles here in Toppenish this week even amidst the struggles! Sergio Sanchez and Mariah Elder Corrington and I went and visited them before we left and we emphasized why we need a Savior. It's been a great learning experience for me to be able to teach this family. We initially(as we've been teaching them throughout the last month) went quickly through the principles of the Restoration and then invited them to show their faith by keeping the commandments of God reading, praying and them Baptism/Marriage. We did not help them gain a strong enough witness that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the World which lead to a bump in their progress. However, it's been an amazing experience helping them more fully understand that they are Children of God and that he sacrificed our older brother to save us from our follies and weaknesses. They are both going back to school to receive their GED's. They also got a car somehow which is very helpfu

Happy Birthday Dad!

Dear DAD, Happy 44 Chief! While in Sacrament meeting yesterday I felt the prompting that in order to continue getting to know God more I need to recognize what he does or what he's given me and he's given me you. Dad, you've always encouraged me to keep moving forward I remember how you taught me to work hard and pick up rotten apples at the mobile home park and spraying bays at the Car Wash. You were always there making what was important to me like my baseball swing important to you so I could feel better about myself. You, much much like President Monson have lived a life of service. You have helped me understand the truth that a life of service is a happy life because it is according to the nature of God. As you've had your stroke and lost some hairs along the way I've seen you give your heart to God and focus more on his work and helping us feel of his love. You have been much like Lehi shouting with a loud voice beckoning us to come to the tree of light a

3 baptisms in Toppenish

January 1, 2018 Remember the Book of Mormon Challenge!!! We enjoyed 3 great baptisms this week! David's wife Precilla even came and enjoyed the baptism. We weren't 100% sure he was going to be able to make it due to the fact that his wife wasn't very happy with the idea of him being baptized and paying tithing; however, Brother Evans came with us to a lesson and we discussed putting our trust in God enough to keep all of his commandments. David committed to be baptized along with his boy Albert. Later at their baptismal interview, Bubba (his real name is Winterhawk) wanted to be baptized as well. We had an interview with him   on Friday . David became thrilled because   Friday   night his wife expressed that she wanted to go to the baptism.  That whole week I'd been praying very hard that God would help Priscilla and he did. He truly answers prayers. It was the happiest we had seen David. I'm very excited to be staying in Toppenish because this means Davi

Accept you Dad! you look great!  Grandma and Grandpa Rigby! God bless you both! I have come to understand so much more the Grace of god by all the time and money you gave to me through your notes and gifts through the 12 days . To be honest I gave all that I could away but before I did I enjoyed it as my own and then gave. That filled my heart with the greatest joy I've felt maybe here on the mission. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to give! Grandpa thank you for giving me a love of music! We sang so much this Christmas season and thanks to the opportunities and advice you have given me through the years, we sounded pretty great!
