President Lewis with Brewster Elders, Elder Garcia, and myself Elder Garcia and Elder Rigby (me) zone conference schedule Dear Family and Friends! Dad thank you so much for the package that was so greatly appreciated! I absolutely love the music and that was so thoughtful of you to put lyrics in their as well. I love you Dad. We meet so many little boys I'm sure they are going to love the candy as well! cant wait to use the nut cracker this week:) I've read a little more of your missionary journal this week and early memories of you playing with me and the brothers when we were pretty young have recently been filling my mind. Your mission changed you; and therefore it changed my life. Dad, may our Father be thanked for your making you into the Dad I needed. He could have never have changed you if you didn't let him. I pray that I will let the mission change me so I can be that Father who not only provided greatly but loved me enough to spend summer

Hola mi familia! I was overjoyed to see the conference talk you all sent me. It was so fun and uplifting to read through those talks and reading all of your comments. It really helped me thatnk you.You are walking in a great path. I am so proud and at peace with the thought that you are all staying close to God! This is the answer to my greatest prayer thank you! Bridgeport is doing very well! With the weather warming up everything seems to be getting better!  Elder Garcia and I are becoming better friends. We pray for each other, laugh with each other, talk more with each other, and enjoy each other more! The Mission is a great place to be when you have a friend. I am very grateful for Elder Garcia. One morning he asked God to bless his second family, my family, this touched my heart! What a good guy. The work also is getting better! The Aguilar family, Judith and her boy s, are doing very well! I think all missionaries have this worry but I was worried that after

Zone conference in Quincy with Elder Uceda

Sister Lewis of the Yakima Washington Mission keeps an amazing blog for the mission (such a great gift for the wife of a mission president to do).  Travis and I played "Where's Seleck" as we looked through the photos she posted from the zone conference in Quincy with Elder Uceda. So to be honest, today I have missed this kid more than usual- like crying tears missing.  I am so proud of him for sharing his testimony with the people in Washington.  It lessens the loneliness, but I miss him- like his bed head in the morning, the way he asked me how my day was and really meant, his kind nature, his genuine concern for others, the excitement and love he has for life- And it just wasn't with me- it was with everybody.  He is such a great person, a great friend, and a great example.   Can't wait to get his email tomorrow and his words and impressions from hearing Elder Uceda speak! (Just as I am typing this I am interrupted by a knock at the door) Look who

We were trying to get Judith's and Bryan's friends to come(antonio and Azucena) but they didn't make it! We had a swell time together we had popcorn, some left over cake from a member dinner and some kool-aide as we all enjoyed the movie! Eld

8 Months down...

Dear Family and friends, I've finished a third of my mission. Wow. I don't really know what to say! Only questions are put into my head... Who have I helped Who have I become What have I gained what have i been missing Do I understand and am I living the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Because the focus of our last zone conference and our mission in general has been to focus on teaching repentance and baptizing converts I have been drawn to study more and ponder on the meaning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and how I've applied it to my own life to follow my Savior. As I've been thinking more questions have come to my mind. Who is Jesus Christ Why do I need a Savior? How can a knowledge, a belief, in Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World, change my life and those around me? What must I do to repent, change, to become a Son of God that thereby I may obtain my greatest desire to live in the love of God with those I love. This process of taking moments to think and ponder my que
